Today is July 3rd 2009. Tomorrow we will celebrate our nations Freedom. This is a celebration of past, present, and future generations that has deep meaning when you stop to consider what the cost have been to achieve it. I know the traditions we all participate in while we celebrate usually consist of pool parties, grilling out with friends, popping fireworks etc.. and these are all in good fun and we enjoy the time off from work; but don't forget to take a brief moment of that time and just simply reflect and be thankful for all the things we get to enjoy in our country that others do not because of the sacrifices of brave men and women across our nation from years past to the present. These are the true heroes of our time.
Hollywood has made us think that heroes are the guys who carry the biggest guns, drive the coolest cars, have the dark shades on while they fight, curse like a sailor while they still have a lit cigarette in their mouth, you get the point. Although it's always fun to watch movies about those kinds of characters, don't let it ever mislead you to think that this is what a hero is supposed to be made of. A man who laces up his boots and arms his weapon to get ready to take down a terrorist hideout in the desserts of Hell and doing it while his heart is racing with uncertainty are the people who deserve our up most respect and honor... and they do not wear cool sunglasses and leather jackets and have a director sitting in a chair waiting to give them a new take with 15 different angles to get the best shot to make them look cool and make it happen with dramatic music and fake blood. My deepest and most sincere wishes are with those men and women who do their duty for our country whether they want to or not just because they know deep down if they don't, then who will. To those people I boldly and thankfully say Thank you and let Freedom keep ringing !!!

Meltdown your thoughts
I often spends the quiet moments I have throughout the day just reflecting on life and our ability to dissect it's meaning. Some of us will say it is the pursuit of happiness, some will say it's a survival game, and others will argue you should give up your right to make your own destiny; well, I say it's a combination of all three... you should strive for happiness in it's truest form which is virtuous and pure. You should play the survival game as to staking your claim in this world and laying down your life while protecting your values if necessary. Lastly, you should give up your right to tempt fate by allowing yourself to be bathed in ignorance and have the illusion your in control. We, as humans, are incapable of knowing the final outcome to our lives, but you should spend every moment cherishing it's precious meaning while helping others along the way by offering up a ear to listen and a helping hand when needed in order to keep humanity from turning into a society of individuals so heavily influenced by media outlets and vain-self interest, that you forget to speak and think for yourself. Don't let the popular vote always be the one you cast, learn to think outside the box and weigh the decisions you make based on your hearts discernment and the results will build a strong institution of peace and harmony that will keep our world in proper balance.
